The Danish Minister presents his compliments to the
Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and has the honour, is
obedience to instructions, to soquaint the Wrquess Curson of
kodleston with the following matters
Captain Hieronymus I pland of .abenraa, who
has Loquired Desish nationality Locording to article 1. of the
Danish Law of September 5th, 1920 (vide ist. Seation of art.
112 of the Pause Treaty of Versailles) hos applied for the
assistance of the King's Govermem in order to obtain the re-
lease of 500 Dollars, deposited by him with the HONGKUNG &
SHANGHAI BANKING CORPORATION, HOHGRÜNÜ, and sequestrated by
the British authorities at the outbreak of the war,
It appears, that Mr. Iplund in Ostober 1916 tried
to withdraw this money from the Banks Branch at Hamburg, but
Was compelled to content himself with an advance of 900 Marks,
and furthermore to undertake to repay this amount plus 6) 10-
terest in the event that the Bank should be unable to recover
